a new house

We moved to a new house on the 1st of January and now we live absolutely by ourselves for the first time since we got married! New year, new life! Remember I posted lots of photos from our walks downtown and talked about how much I love it here and if only we could live in a neighborhood like that? We found a house in the best spot ever in my favorite part of Sandpoint! Now we rarely drive anywhere; there are coffee shops, restaurants, banks, piers, and a beach near here; we walk even to the grocery store. 

Our house is pretty small and we don't have much stuff right now. We borrowed a table, a few chairs and a desk from Ben's parents till we find something for ourselves. It's not that easy to find the right things for a new house in our small town. So, right now we have lots of open space and this is pretty cool. I love our new dark wood floor! I also think our bathroom is beautiful but there's only one problem there: it's freezing cold! There's some issue with the fan system and we're waiting for someone professional to come and fix it. Our bedroom is very nice, too; it's small (yes, like everything else here :-)), square and very cozy. We still need to find a big mattress and a bed, right now we're sleeping on the floor. We've hung some things on the walls already: Ben's paintings, white Christmas lights, a white Chinese lantern...
