chestnut home: a few details

metal clothes rack at home
flowers and faces painting
vintage camera and bunny portrait
owl paintings and lantern

We're adding more and more things to our new place, so now it feels like home. I took a few detail photos today to give you a glimpse of our living room. We brought in a soft comfy chair, a magazine table and a cabinet, so we're almost done there. We only need a couch now. We're still looking for a bed, shelves for the kitchen and more places to keep our clothes. I didn't even realize how many clothes I had till we moved! Actually, I didn't realize how much stuff we had... In a small house even a few things can easily look like clutter. We're trying to keep the space open and learn how to live with fewer objects in our life.

  6. I love your snapshots! I know exactly what you mean about living with less. We too are struggling with having items that we love, but not letting our home feel like clutter. There is such a fine line! But it feels so good to have open space.
