This Friday we went to my favorite restaurant in town, Trinity at City Beach, for a corporate party. It was wonderful. We walked to the beach and took some photos of the sunset, then we joined our co-workers for dinner and fun chats. I loved just talking to the people at the table, listening to their stories (our boss just came back from his 3-week long trip to Ecuador!), and getting to know everyone a little better. Not to mention the food! Ben had hazelnut encrusted trout, I ordered a spicy seafood plate and we also had raspberry cheesecake and dark chocolate volcano cake... mmmm :-) Last time we went to Trinity I had jumbo scallops. They were the best scallops I've ever had. My colleague Beth had them on Friday night and she loved them just as much. My seafood plate was good but nothing beats the scallops yet. :-)
On the other note, my laptop is back and running! I feel so much better and organized now when I have all my folders, photos, documents in one place. Yay!
Speaking of running, Ben and I started a new training season yesterday and ran almost 3 miles! It's huge for me, I walked probably half of it but I'm very motivated on making it my new habit. Wish me luck, I really need it. We're doing our next run today at lunch.

I would like a recipe for that dark chocolate volcano cake. Sounds good.

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I always get the same dessert (or some variation of it) of raspberry cheesecake and dark chocolate volcano cake. So delicious. Good luck working out. You can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks super yummy - sounds like a nice time away. And that's a lot to run - it's so hard to run in the winter for me, I really just can't do it, I work out inside solely.
