For Christmas Ben's parents (thank you!!) gifted us with a reservation at a gorgeous hotel in downtown Coeur d'Alene, Idaho! And finally a few weekends ago we went there for a romantic getaway. It was wonderful: the town was pretty empty and quiet, we visited some shops and even bought a chair and a lamp for our new apartment. We stayed at Blackwell hotel in a suite with a huge bed, a fireplace and a bathroom with a spa shower. It felt like we were on vacation far far away from home! We had some issues with the staff of the hotel (we couldn't check in at 4pm because everyone went home and locked the building!) but the big comfy bed helped me quickly forget about the problems. The next day we ate at Olive Garden and walked in a snowy park, feeding local fat squirrels. I loved this short getaway so much that I want to have it as a tradition now.
We've moved!
