Molly the Moose in our backyard

Sandpoint moose

This is our new friend, her name is Molly. She discovered an apple tree in our backyard and loved it so much that keeps coming here every day. I'll never forget the first time I saw her near our house. Ben was taking some photos next to the window on Sunday and I turned to him to say something... and just then a huge moose came walking right by our window! I was like "Aaaa! Ben! Moose! Take pictures!!", we ran out in our home slippers and watched her disappear around the building to find the tree. There was no hurry anymore, though, Molly spent the next 4 hours there. We took more than a hundred photos of her eating from different sides. She didn't care at all. That was a few days ago, and since then she comes every evening and sometimes even stays till the early morning.  We can hear her at night crunching on apples.

And this is Molly the Moose in the morning. Pretty comfy and well rested.

Um, this is just seriously freaking AMAZING. I love that she's just casually resting in your yard in the last pic, that is hilarious!

OH MY GOSH! Those pics are the best. I wish for this in my backyard, but I don't think this will happen!

Um, this is pretty much the best. You have a pet moose essentially. That eats your apples and stays until morning. Does it get any better?

I'm from Berlin, so the prospect of looking out of the window at a moose is so surreal :)

She's a beauty and I'm totally in love especially with the last picture - it's so ful of tranquillity... wonderful!

You have a backyard moose and I have a backyard bull elk, and sometimes a deer or two. We must live in the most magical places on earth. It's like we're mixed up in a Disney movie.

Thanks for introducing us to Molly. She's cute! And she very clearly believes the old saying, "An apple (or 12) a day will keep the doctor away." ;)
