Woody Allen is one of my favorite filmmakers, and I was lucky enough to find this collection of his short stories and columns at a thrift store this past weekend. One of my favorite sections so far is "If the Impressionists Had Been Dentists."
The line about Seurat here made me belly-laugh.
My favorite of his movies is "Stardust Memories." The photography is beautiful, and it's partially a tribute to Federico Fellini and other quiet, oblique European directors from the 50s and 60s, whose films I also really like.
